WAVE

This layered concentric circle pattern dates back to 6th century Japan, originally used on maps to illustrate the sea. The wave pattern has found its way into many decorative functions in more recent times, the art deco movement of the 1920's has taken inspiration from the clean lines of this repeating pattern.
